AdultSkate Program

It's never too late to learn to skate or rediscover your love for the ice! Our AdultSkate program is designed to provide a fun, social, and supportive environment for adult skaters of all skill levels, from complete beginners to those looking to refine their technique.

Who is AdultSkate for?

AdultSkate welcomes anyone aged 16 and over. Whether you're lacing up skates for the very first time, returning to the sport after a long break, or you're an experienced skater who wants to continue improving, this program is for you. We offer flexible options to accommodate your individual goals and aspirations, whether they are recreational, competitive, or simply for the enjoyment of a unique and rewarding activity.

Our Programs

The AdultSkate program integrates with Skate Canada's existing learn-to-skate frameworks, offering tailored programs to meet your needs:

• Adult CanSkate: This is the perfect starting point for new skaters. Following the CanSkate curriculum, you'll learn the fundamentals of balance, control, and agility in a fun, group setting with other adults. Our certified coaches will guide you through the basics of forward and backward skating, stopping, and turning, ensuring you build a strong and safe foundation.

• Adult STARSkate: For adults who have completed CanSkate or have previous skating experience, this program provides opportunities to develop figure skating skills. You can choose to focus on different disciplines, including Skating Skills (edges, power, and control), Free Skate (jumps and spins), Ice Dance, and Artistic skating. Adult STARSkate offers a flexible pathway for learning, taking assessments, and participating in club-level and interclub competitions.
